Property Description:

VRC worked with the White River Partnership to establish a conservation easement on this 15.4-acre parcel along the White River. This parcel provides a critical floodplain landscape that supports the river’s need to meander. This important function enables the river to dissipate energy before it enters the village, reducing the flood hazard for local infrastructure. This project was possible with funding from Vermont Agency of Natural Resources, Department of Environmental Conservation’s Ecosystem Restoration Program.
