VRC Welcomes New Board Member

Tuesday, January 8th, 2019

Vermont River Conservancy is pleased to welcome Kyle Landis-Marinello to our Board of Directors.  A native Vermonter, Kyle began kayaking when he was ten. He loves every day he gets to be in a boat, whether it’s on a lake or in whitewater. In high school and college, most of Kyle’s life revolved around training for whitewater slalom competitions. He was a member of the U.S. Canoe/Kayak Whitewater Slalom Team and competed in the World Cup circuit in 2001. Kyle also ran lots of Class V rivers and waterfalls when he was too young to know better, and now tries to dial it back a notch and stick to the relatively safer runs that, thankfully, are abundant in Vermont.

Kyle has a Master’s degree in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School, as well as a J.D. from Michigan Law School, and has practiced environmental law for over 10 years. Kyle lives in Middlesex with his wife, three kids, and a dog. He hangs onto old kayaks well past their prime, and he won’t tell you exactly how many boats he has, but let’s just say it’s in the double digits.
